This policy explains what personal information Dental Fundamentals C.E. (“we,” “us”) collects on dentalxraycoach.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is written in plain English because you should be able to understand it without a lawyer.
1. What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, and the password you choose. If you add a phone number or license number for your certificate, we store those too.
- Course activity: which courses you are enrolled in, lessons completed, quiz results, completion dates and the certificates issued to you. We keep this because certificates are subject to Dental Board audit.
- Payment details: handled by Stripe. We receive a record of the purchase (course, amount, date, last four digits of the card) but never your full card number.
- Messages: anything you send us by email or the contact form.
- Technical data: your IP address, browser, device type and the pages you visit, collected through server logs and cookies (see our Cookie Policy).
2. How we use it
- To create and run your account and deliver the courses you bought.
- To issue certificates of completion and keep the records a registered CE provider must keep.
- To take payment and send receipts.
- To answer your questions and send service emails, such as password links and course completion notices.
- To tell you about new courses, if you have agreed to receive marketing email. You can opt out at any time using the link in the email.
- To keep the site secure and understand how it is used.
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with services that help us run the site, and only as much as they need:
- Stripe for payment processing.
- Our web hosting and email delivery providers, which store the site and send our emails.
- The Dental Board of California or another licensing body, if they audit a certificate we issued to you.
- Law enforcement or courts, where the law requires it.
4. How long we keep it
Course records and certificates are kept for at least four years after completion, to meet Dental Board audit requirements. Account details are kept while your account is open and for up to one year after it closes. Payment records are kept for seven years for tax purposes. Server logs are kept for 90 days.
5. Your choices and rights
You can update your name, email and password from your student dashboard. You can ask us to send you a copy of the personal information we hold, correct it, or delete it, by emailing janet@dentalxraycoach.com. We will answer within 30 days. We may need to keep certain records, such as certificates, where the law or our provider registration requires it, and we will tell you if that is the case.
California residents: under the California Consumer Privacy Act you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and share it, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To make a request, email janet@dentalxraycoach.com with “Privacy request” in the subject line. We will verify your identity by confirming the email address on your account.
6. Security
The site uses HTTPS, passwords are stored hashed, and payment data is handled by Stripe, a PCI-compliant processor. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and let us know if you suspect a problem.
7. Children
The site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
8. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the effective date above and, for significant changes, email account holders.
