Next Level Radiography
2-Hour Online Course with the Dental X-ray Coach Janet Simpson, RDA
Get Immediate AccessDo you ever have a difficult time taking diagnostic quality dental x-rays?
You are not alone. Many people do. Wouldn’t it be great if everyone had wide arches, high palates, aligned teeth, no gag reflex and they already had their thirds out? Instead, a good percentage of our patients have crowded archs, shallow palates, malposed or misaligned teeth, chubby cheeks, pushy tongues, and touchy gag reflexes. In addition, many dental x-ray training programs just teach the paralleling technique. They just don’t have time to teach shadow casting or the bisecting technique, skills that are vital especially when using the wired digital sensor. This course provides that instruction and much much more.
Who is this course for?
This course is for dental assistants and dental hygienists who are looking for additional skills to take your x-rays to the next level. Taking quality X-rays can be challenging. If you want to would like help overcoming those challenges, this course is for you!
This course is also for dentists who would love to read diagnostic quality x-rays and are excited to provide their staff the training they need in order to achieve them. There are 5 reasons it is more difficult to obtain quality images with the wired digital sensor when compared to traditional film. Understanding those issues is the key to solving them.
What you will learn:
You will learn to envision the production of radiographic images differently. You’ll gain “X-ray vision” in that you can effectively see past the patient's exterior to the teeth and sensor inside the mouth. You will predict what film placement, and PID angulations are required to achieve the image you want. You will learn techniques for improving your patient’s comfort by enlisting their cooperation. You will learn the concepts of bisecting, and see visual demonstrations of how to acquire images using that technique. Â
